7. NSFAS Wallet: (Applicable to financed students) Manage your NSFAS allowance electronically with the NSFAS Wallet.

How do I update my myNSFAS profile?

Maintaining an accurate profile on MyNSFAS is critical. Here's how to change your information:

1.Log in to your MyNSFAS account with your username and password.
Select the "My Profile" tab.
2.Choose the exact information you want to update, such as your contact information, banking information, or academic standing.
3.Make the necessary changes and confirm that all fields are correctly filled.
4. To confirm the update, click "Save Changes".
It is recommended that you maintain your profile updated to facilitate easy communication and minimize delays in obtaining your funds.

How do I create a username and password for NSFAS?

If you’re a first-time applicant or haven’t yet created a MyNSFAS account, follow these steps:

  1. Visit the NSFAS website: https://www.nsfas.org.za/content/how-to-apply.html.
  2. Click on “Create Profile”.
  3. Enter your South African ID number and follow the on-screen prompts.
  4. Choose a strong and unique username and password that you can easily remember.
  5. Verify your contact details by entering the One-Time Pin (OTP) sent to your registered phone number and email address.
  6. Click “Submit” to complete your MyNSFAS account creation.

Remember, your username and password are confidential. Do not share them with anyone to safeguard your account and information.
