The Canadian Queen Elizabeth II Diamond Jubilee Scholarships (QES) program aims to mobilize a community of young leaders to create lasting impacts at home and abroad. The program helps develop the next generation of innovative leaders and community builders by enabling international academic, professional and cross-cultural experiences in over 150 countries

Program details

Since 2014, QES has provided funding to 134 projects at Canadian post-secondary institutions. The program boasts a network of over 2,600 scholars, including undergraduate and graduate students, as well as early career researchers.

Prospective scholars

The QES program is project-based, which means that Canadian universities submit project proposals based on the Call for Proposals. Once the projects are selected, the universities are responsible for recruiting the scholars (Canadian or International) based on their area of focus, the partner organizations and partner countries.
